HOW DOES XEOMIN® WORK?
Xeomin® is a neuromodulator injectable that’s similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport®. This cosmetic treatment uses botulinum toxin to temporarily block the muscle activity between the brows to reduce moderate to severe frown lines. Xeomin® can also address specific medical conditions, such as severe spasms and muscle stiffness. This neurotoxin is FDA-approved and clinically proven to treat frown lines. Xeomin® is a “naked” injectable in that the product doesn’t include additives and proteins like other neuromodulators.
Frown lines form because of repeated facial expressions and movements in the glabella region between your eyebrows and forehead. Xeomin® treatment typically involves local anesthetic or topical numbing cream to reduce any discomfort you may experience. The injectable is then artfully applied to the treated area, and the entire procedure takes around 30 minutes or less. You may feel some stinging, burning, or pinching, which will dissipate quickly.
