Facelift and Necklift

Tightening up the neck doesn’t have to mean major downtime and general anesthesia. For many patients a more conservative necklift can give dramatic results with an in-office, local anesthesia procedure.

Part of the incision is hidden behind the ear at the hairline, and the portion of the incision in front of the ear is hidden at the edge of the ear cartilages. This avoids an easily visible scar straight up and down in front of the ear, which prevents the patient from wearing the hair up. Hiding the posterior incision right at the hairline behind the ear also allows wearing the hair up without an easily visible scar.

This woman’s concern was that the fullness of the cheek had descended, leaving a flat cheekbone and a crease around the lips (nasolabial folds). She had minimal excess skin, but with a “cheek and jowl” lift her jawline is much more well-defined. Her cheeks are now fuller and more youthful looking, without appearing unnatural. Her incisions are very well-concealed so there is nothing to give away the fact that the procedure was done. Such subtle changes make an enormous difference in a person’s life and self-confidence.
