HOW JUVÉDERM® WORKS
When Juvéderm® is injected beneath your skin it increases your skin’s volume and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Wrinkles and folds will fade away, and the overall result is subtle enough that no one will know you had the treatment. You will simply appear to have a fuller, more youthful face.
Juvéderm® is unique among other dermal fillers because its manufacturing process uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid that has been cross-linked for results that last longer. THE JUVÉDERM® TREATMENT
Treatment is done in the office without the need for anesthesia. The gel material itself contains an anesthetic to make the injection comfortable. Juvéderm® treatment typically takes about 10 minutes to complete. You may return to work immediately. JUVÉDERM® CANDIDACY
As with any plastic surgery procedure or treatment, it’s important to go over your health status with our doctor to ensure the safety and effectiveness of your procedure. While Juvéderm® is generally safe for most adults, there are some factors that may disqualify you from this treatment. During your consultation, Dr. Kutty will make sure that Juvéderm® will not only be safe for you, but will produce the results you desire.
Please talk to Dr. Kutty if you:
- Have severe allergies or are allergic to lidocaine or Gram-positive proteins
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to be pregnant
- Have a history of scarring or any pigmentation conditions
- Are planning any chemical peel or laser treatments
- Are on any immunosuppressive treatments
- Are on any blood thinners or medicines that extend bleeding
Dr. Kutty is a skillful injector of Juvéderm® and other leading injectables and will work with you throughout the entire process to minimize side-effects. Minor side-effects may occur and can include swelling, bruising, redness, discoloration, or itchiness in the injected area.
