WHAT ARE BUCCAL FAT PADS?
Buccal fat pads are small masses of fat that sit within the cheek and create facial roundness in certain people. These fat pads exist in everyone, but they appear much more pronounced in some people than in others. This can cause you to look heavier, and it can also create the appearance of a double chin.
You can achieve a narrower, more angular contour to your face with a buccal fat pad removal procedure. The facial contouring is even more dramatic when this procedure is coupled with liposuction of the double chin, which will add definition to your jaw line.

YOUR BUCCAL FAT PAD REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Buccal fat pad removal is performed on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia. Dr. Kutty will make an incision inside the cheek in order to remove the fat pads. The entire procedure can be completed in about 20 minutes. Since the incision is hidden inside the cheek, there will be no visible scarring.
Recovery after buccal fat pad removal usually takes about 7-10 days. You will experience some minor swelling which typically resolves in a few days. You should start seeing the final results and a newly sculpted facial appearance within a few weeks.
