Abdominoplasty-Tummy Tuck

This woman had prior abdominal surgery, with severe skin excess and muscle weakness. Her bellybutton was completely covered with loose skin. Postop photos are at 3 months, so her shape will continue to improve as the swelling gradually resolves.

Revision Abdominoplasty & Liposuction

It is not uncommon for women to be disappointed with the results from a
tummy tuck. Whether it is shape, contour irregularities, scar placement
or unsightly bulges, most problems can be corrected if addressed properly.
This woman had an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the surrounding areas
several years ago in another city. She came to me for improvement of several
areas: 1) lumpy, uneven contour over the abdomen and flanks, 2) a large
depression on the right hip, 3) a bulge above her navel, 4) a vertical
gap in the upper abdomen, 5) uneven waist contour.
These problems were all addressed with revision of the entire procedure.
The muscle was cinched together, which had not been done in the prior
surgery; precise liposuction was done to even out all of the irregular
areas; the right hip depression was masked by liposuction around it; the
bulge above her navel resolved after the muscle was tightened.
Her reason for having the abdominoplasty originally was to feel confident
in a two-piece bathing suit, but she was unable to because of these issues.
Her abdomen now has an ideal contour for her body.
