WHAT IS RESTYLANE®?
Restylane® is a prescription injectable designed to replace diminished hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance that creates the fullness and elasticity in your skin. Over time, as you age, you lose hyaluronic acid and your skin develops wrinkles and folds.
Restylane® is composed of a non-animal based hyaluronic acid and restores volume to your skin to reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and create youthful contours. It’s injected into the skin to fill areas where there are depressions and can also be used to fill fine lines elsewhere on the face where BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport® do not completely eliminate the lines.

The treatment itself takes only about 10 minutes in the office. Because this is a non-invasive procedure, there’s no downtime, and you may return to work immediately. This treatment can also be done in conjunction with other injectables or even with facial surgery.
An experienced physician should perform the treatment to ensure that you achieve the desired result without causing an overcorrection. Done properly, Restylane® creates an immediately visible and dramatic correction to the lines and wrinkles on your face. The skin will degrade the injected material over time, so Restylane® injection is not permanent. This treatment generally lasts about six months but may vary depending on the individual.
