How BOTOX ® Works

Similar to Dysport®, BOTOX ® works by blocking the chemical signals that cause your muscles to tighten and contract. Dr. Kutty will use a very thin, tiny needle to inject a small amount of BOTOX ® into the muscles surrounding your most obvious wrinkles. By weakening the muscles that produce your wrinkles, BOTOX® encourages these wrinkles to fade, leaving you with a smoother overall appearance.

BOTOX ® Treatment Areas

BOTOX ® Cosmetic is most commonly used to treat the following facial areas:

No anesthesia is necessary during BOTOX ® treatment, and the entire process usually only takes about 5 minutes. After treatment, you will not require any downtime to recover. Any injection-site redness will resolve itself within an hour.

Choose an Experienced Cosmetic Surgeon

BOTOX® should only be administered by an experienced practitioner, since it is possible to inject it improperly. Poor injection technique can result in asymmetry, a glassy appearance, or even interfere with your normal eyelid function. Inappropriate injection can also make you look "windswept" or overly smooth, which makes it too obvious that treatment was done.
